King Tut's original name was Tutankhaten, which means "Living Image of Aten".

Tutankhamen means "Living Image of Amun". His name was changed because of "scribal" reasons, but nobody really knows what those reason actually are.

King Tut was born in 1360 BC (Before Christ)in Armarna. He was the son of Pharoah, Akhenaton. It is not known who his mother was but it is belived that it was amonorwife that mothered Tutankhamen.

He became pharaoh at about the age of 9 and ruled untill he died at the age of 18. He died of a knock to the head.
